Sammy Adjei Junior is a Ghanaian-American former professional soccer player. His former clubs include the New York Red Bulls, USA, Naestved Boldklub, Denmark, and Hawkes Bay United, New Zealand. He has also represented the Team U.S.A U-14 and U-18 National teams, as well as the Ghana U-20 National Team.

 

Sammy is the Assistant Athletic Director and Head of Women’s Soccer at Caldwell University (NCAA D II). He is also the Head Coach of the New Jersey Olympic Development Program’s U-14 team. In addition, Sammy is the College Pathway Director for Soccer For Life Millburn. Sammy comes with over twelve years of experience in youth sports. He received his bachelor’s degree in business marketing from Iona College(NY), where he was an NCAA All-American in 2012 and a team captain. Before that, Sammy played for New Jersey High School’s soccer powerhouse, St.Benedict’s Prep in Newark, NJ, where he won a state championship in 2009 and was ranked TopDrawerSoccer Top 100 high school soccer players in the country. 

Sammy also has an MBA in Sports Management from Rider University. He is the owner of Soccer Virtuoso, an elite soccer training company located in NJ and Ghana. The brand has over 12 college athletes, several top high school and middle school soccer players in the Northern NJ area, and six professional soccer players in Ghana, Denmark, and the United States. Sammy has a great passion for youth sports and believes the values learned through youth sports will create great leaders of tomorrow.
